Green Clean
It is estimated that the world population will be over 9 billion people by the year 2050, and the resources available will be approximately 25% of the resources that were available in 1950. To preserve our planet for generations to come, we must be responsible in the products and chemicals we use everyday.
Green Cleaning provides a healthier alternative to many everyday products used in many businesses. Green Cleaning products are not only healthier, but they reduce the negative impacts of chemicals in our environment.
Green cleaning seeks to provide additional protection for the health of customers, occupants and visitors, as well as reduce the overall impact of the environment.
Green cleaning is a term that has been coined to describe a trend away from chemically-reactive and toxic cleaning products which contain various toxic chemicals, some of which emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) causing respiratory and dermatological problems and other adverse effects. These standards are set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These companies are held to higher standards in general than federal or state-mandated 'green' cleaning rules. The purpose of 'going green' is to address human illnesses that arise from exposure as well as damage to the environment (water, soil, air) from disposal of these products.
Additional benefits of Green Cleaning include:
- Increased productivity
- Increased employee morale
- Reduction in employee absenteeism
- Reduction in health care costs
- Healthier bottom line
